Basic InstinctRun
Drive
to Stinson Beach, wine country

Saturday morning, I got a call from Lox and screamed onto the highway, looking for the gang.
Sure enough, I spotted the hulking, brooding low-slung caravan of Imran, Robert, and Lox
in their V8s, and we cruised into the city, creating quite a stir at every traffic light.

It was a bit foggy at the marina, but not too bad. The cars looked gorgeous.

“Wow, wow, wow!!!!” That’s what the firemen said!
”Bow wow,” replied the K-9!

We then rolled across the Golden Gate bridge and wound our way through the hills and
down to
Stinson Beach. Every turn had amazing views, both on and off the road.
Regular cars scurried out of the way, and a lot of people videotaped us (where are the tapes?)

Lonnie’s sexy V8.
I really wished I had brought a passenger to take better shots. This was the best I could manage
while keeping an eye on the road, another on the camera (trying to focus it on the view in the rearview mirror rather than on the mirror itself), shifting with one hand, holding the camera and clicking the shutter with the other, steering with my knees, dialing my cell phone with my nose to tell Lox to slow down, lighting my cigarette with my toes….are you impressed yet?

Stopping to regroup for the final stretch.
We got our own parking row at Stinson, and had a fabulous barbecue. The weather was
perfect. As soon as I have pics of the barbecue, I will put them up.

The R5! License plate L CAR NOT. How cool is that!

After the barbecue, we went off on a MAD drive. I don’t think there’s any evidence, err,
I mean pictures. But I will post them if I receive any.

On the way back, we stopped at the Dancing Donkey, I mean, Fiat, dealer.

Roy wasn’t too impressed with the security system.
But then, why would anyone want to steal these silly cars?

After some attempts at taking calendar shots with Robert’s car, we cruised back into the city.

Imran’s car on the bridge,
as the fog rolls in.
That is one sexy car !

It looks as if the car is being swallowed up by the fog! I think these are my two favourite shots from the day.

And then we were back in the city, ready to raise hell. But Lox was too tired and weak,
so we had to come home and administer ice cream.
