An amazing day. Great cars, great people, fun drive--I had a great time. For me, the highlight was the XJR-15. That is one badass car! Approximately 40 were made for racing, and another 30 or so for road-use/homologation purposes. Of the racing variants, this is chassis number 3, and the only one that was raced and never crashed. Sexy beast!

There's a lot of exquisite detail and information on each car...I recommend visiting the official site to learn more. One interesting thing about the Porsche 550 Spyder is that it uses horsehair as bushings in some places. I thought I got a picture, but now I can't find it. You will just have to visit in person to see this!

Also found out about Mr. Mallya's planes...and that he has over 250 cars scattered across several countries. He has a lot of exquisitely rare cars in India, including one of the first Bentleys. It's in pieces and needs extensive restoration, but the problem is that it has been declared a national treasure and cannot be removed from India. Efforts are underway to get a 5-year exemption, send it to Europe for a 2-year restoration, and then show it around the world for 3 years before returning it back to India. So the world might yet get to see this beauty.
