The factory tour was a bit disappointing, but still very interesting. TVR could certainly learn a thing or two from modern manufacturing operations, and no, I don't think it would detract from their character one bit.
I couldn't believe how sinfully ugly the moulds were that produced such beautiful shapes as the Chimaera and the Cerbera. Some sections of the factory have been closed off now, due to some unwanted pictures being posted on the web, so we couldn't see much relating to the engine.

But it was still a lot to absorb. It was interesting to see their "new" production model of teams being responsible for an entire car rather than the assembly line model.
And the production teams are all named after famous racetracks. I also learnt that Cerbera production is being cut back to accommodate demand for Tuscans, so the wait for Cerbera is now projected to be 6 months! I did like a new colour called Crystal Topaz, and it seems to be popular--I saw quite a few cars in various stages of build in this color.
