Got to the track in the afternoon, tried my broken French at some side entrance and we were waved through in the rental car. Found pit lane, and in our first parking attempt, we ended up obstructing the Speed 12 team, so we had to move the car!
Then we saw Shorty towing the Speed 6 and followed him and ended up parking right next to the Mole Valley team. This was the first time I had ever seen the car (or Martin Short for that matter) in person, and it was a pretty unreal feeling after having followed news and reports of their progress on the O'Boyle and Pistonheads sites. Finally, we were in the company of legends!
What a great bunch!!! They made Jamie and I feel really welcome, showed us around the car, answered all our questions, and invited us to enjoy their hospitality.
Plus I met Pikey and Dave and the O-Boyles. Finian was uploading the latest and greatest to his website in England from his laptop which was hooked up to his mobile phone via an infra-red connection! Moonie and Jane, thanks to your suggestion about taking the Blackpool Rock candy with me, I was a hit with the O-Boyle girls!
We also strolled around and checked out the competition...there were all sorts of dancing donkeys! Being in Spa was absolutely fantastic (and free!).
