Sunday was raceday, and it dawned bright and beautiful. So this is what it's like to live in Belgium -- imagine this parking lot outside work! Jamie tries to hide the only non-TVR, but...let's just call it the team support vehicle!

At the track, I didn't manage to sneak my car in, but Jamie and I were ushered in with no tickets after I politely explained that we were with the TVR team and our tickets were inside. Should have tried to sell them the Brooklyn Bridge too! The day was spent in eager anticipation of the GT race as we walked around the pits and watched the other races, as well as preparations for the "big one".

Christof and Hans showed up from Germany...his Tuscan roof had blown off at about 170mph, but he had managed to recover it and it was intact, though a little scratched. And his black Tuscan's wheels have to be seen to be believed. They are just fantastic. It's called a "nickel chrome" I think, and it looks like shiny chrome and anthracite mixed. Really gorgeous.

Christof also shared some very cool stories about racing Ferraris and McLarens in his TVR. Finian's car shimmered away next to it. How I wished my Cerbie was around. And there was a Griffith there as well. Pikey showed me his Rosso Pearl car parked nearby, and it really does have 440 hp because the license plate says so. Plus it's got the high visibility vest in the trunk, and that's got to be good for another 10 hp or so! His exhaust has a very nice sound to it, indeed.
