Just outside Parma, there is a very famous collection of Maseratis as well as other rare cars and motorcycles. It is owned by the Panini family who made their fortune in the sticker business! This is a working dairy farm, with a hell of a car collection packed into a custom-made building. The road leading to the farm was closed for construction, and after offroading for a while and scraping up the undercarriage, we left the car at another farm and trekked on. The modern looking car is the only one of its kind in the world. Maserati sold them the prototype. Most of the cars are used regularly, and many are raced.
I had read about this collection a couple of years ago and kept the article for inspiration. It was a real treat to actually go there and see it.
